dimarzio d activator 8 neck nero - dp819bk 4 conduttori - magnete ceramico - potenza 360 mvthe book is still being written about what an 8-string pickup should sound like. we think it should have a wide frequency response, be very articulate and dynamic, and not be muddy. all of these qualities are particularly important for the neck position, and we’ve built them into the d activator 8™. the d activator 8™ neck is open, clear and very responsive. it maintains its sound character even with massive amounts of gain, and it’s also bright and articulate with clean amp settings.recommended forneck position. can also be used in bridge position.tech talkbecause of the high output and string gauge of the low f# string, we designed the neck pickup with medium rather than high output. the two d activator 8™ coils are tuned to different frequencies, and combining this feature with the output level produces a clear, musical sound. it also has a dynamic solo voice throughout the entire 8-string frequency range. note: if you are replacing active (battery powered) pickups in your guitar, we strongly recommend replacing the controls with 500k potentiometers. 250k is the minimum recommended control value for use with this model.
